When your dog boards with Happy Paws MKE, they get more than a place to sleep. Boarding dogs enjoy supervised daycare and playtime during the day, then settle in for a restful night.
Our Milwaukee location offers clean spaces, caring staff, and large indoor and outdoor play areas designed to keep dogs safe, active, and comfortable during their stay.
Same-day boarding may be available depending on space. Please review the boarding information below before making a reservation.
Milwaukee Boarding Information
What Should I Bring for Boarding?
Please label all items with your dog’s first and last name.
- Collar - All dogs must wear a collar while in our facility. Harnesses and gentle leaders are welcome, but your dog must also have a collar on.
- Food - Food must be packed in individual bags or airtight containers labeled with your dog’s first and last name. We have a refrigerator and freezer available for raw or wet food. Please include any special feeding instructions, such as adding water or mixing in wet food.
- Treats and Food Toppers - You may pack treats or food toppers for your dog. We can add them to meals for picky eaters.
- Kongs and bones may be given during downtime or overnight. Please bring any Kong filling your dog needs.
- Toys - Please do not bring toys.
- Bedding - Happy Paws provides cots, mats, and blankets for boarding dogs. Please do not bring blankets or beds from home.
- Medication - All medication must be properly labeled and sorted. If medication needs to be given in half or quarter tablets, please have tablets broken into the correct dosage before arrival. A medication administration fee of $5 per day, per dog applies.

Items sent with your dog may be chewed, torn, or stained during their stay. Happy Paws is not responsible for keeping or replacing damaged items.

Holiday Hours
We are closed for major holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. No pick-up or drop-off is available on those days.

Boarding Reservations
Reservations are required for boarding.
Paperwork and vaccination records must be submitted and approved before your dog’s stay. Your reservation is not fully confirmed until all required paperwork has been received and approved.
Happy Paws uses Gingr, a user-friendly online system that allows you to create an account, manage your pet’s information, upload records, and request reservations.
MKE Related Services
Our lux room is equipped with a human twin size bed, brand new bedding and pillows, and plush stairs for older or smaller dogs. It is the largest room and has 24/7 cam access for an extra $10 during their boarding stay.
